Wash
Park - The Homes
The homes and real estate surrounding Denver's Wash Park are an
eclectic mix of architectural design from the late 1890s to the
1940s. As one of the oldest neighborhoods in Denver, it includes
a large number of early 20th century brick houses.
Many of these original homes were smaller Denver Squares or bungalows,
typically under 2000 sq. ft. in size, and featured detached garages
with access via alleyways. But the neighborhood also became popular
with prominent Denver residents, and some of the larger two-story
Victorian homes and Tudors reflect this history.
In 2007, average prices range from $350K-$550K for original Denver
Square and brick bungalow style homes (avg. 1250-1800 sq. ft.) to
$650K-$1.6M for remodeled 2-story homes (1800-2400 sq. ft.). Many
of the renovated homes feature modern floorplans and finishes, and
still retain the history and character of the original architectural
design.
